Weill Cornell Medical College – Radiation Oncology Laboratory Healthcare/Life Sciences Weill Cornell Medical College – Radiation Oncology Laboratory Project Info Project Info Weill Cornell Medical College – Radiation Oncology Laboratory Cauldwell Wingate was retained as General Contractor for the full renovation of 4,600sf renovation of two laboratory spaces and several office spaces. The renovation was meant to provide modern labs for the new Department of Radiation Oncology with the latest in laboratory design. Project scope involved energy efficient lighting and HVAC including medical gas and vacuum. Also current safe laboratory standards were incorporated. The renovation involved the installation of new laboratory case work with med gas/vacuum capabilities, cold room, counters, partitions, millwork and associated finishes and associated research equipment. All work in this occupied facility was phased to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Weill Cornell

GEORGE BRAUN VICE PRESIDENT & CORPORATE SAFETY OFFICER Mr. Braun is an experienced professional serving as Corporate Safety Officer and member of the Executive Committee. With a comprehensive background in construction safety, he proactively plans and administers safety policies and procedures helping maintain a high level of compliance. His responsibilities require that he perform educational training and on-site inspections, heightening project staff safety awareness. Mr. Braun provides leadership to the companies Injury & Illness Prevention Program (I2P2), utilizing innovative solutions to proactively stem incidents before they occur. He plans and implements safety and health educational training programs tailored to each team member, and develops best practices to reduce injury risk and raise safety awareness. As Chairperson of the Safety Committee, he mentors operations leaders throughout the company and is responsible for recruiting and training all lead safety staff. His duties further require regular interface with insurance carriers, various regulatory authorities, client representatives, and subcontractors on jobsite safety and health matters. Among other duties are staying abreast of safety trends, policies, standards and regulations, record keeping, and in general, assuring that Cauldwell Wingate maintains its reputation as a leading practitioner of safety in the construction workplace. He occasionally serves as an adjunct safety instructor helping those in New York City construction industry comply with the recently enacted suite of safety training regulations. Mr. Braun is a licensed Professional Engineer. Throughout his career, Ciaran has played a key role in delivering some of New York City’s most high-profile residential developments. Notable projects include 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City, Eastlight at 200 East 34th Street, 180 East 88th Street, and The Oosten in Williamsburg. His strategic approach to cost management and deep industry knowledge have contributed to the successful execution of these landmark buildings. Mr. Szekalski’s 21 year background includes a broad array of practical experience in all phases of development and construction management. He has managed renovation and new construction for a variety of project types, including education, corporate, storage and residential buildings. His notable project experience includes 1 Park Row, 155 W29th Street, 200 Montague Street, 40 Tenth Ave (Solar Carve), Far Rockaway Townhouses (Saltmeadow), 111 West 57th Street, 613 Baltic Street and the College of Staten Island.
