Whitestone Ambulatory Care: Completed examination and consultation room fit-outs, and coordinated the installation of nuclear camera and x-ray machines. Urgent Care Center at Rego Park: Built an 18,000 sq ft space with x-ray equipment, nuclear camera, upgraded lobby, new office and reception areas, ultrasound rooms, and an andro lab. Infrastructure included HVAC units and A/C systems. Additional work was done at the Rego Park Urgent Care Center, renovating 30,000 sq ft for a multi-specialty program. Northwell Health

Healthcare/Life Sciences New York Structural Biology Center Project Info Project Info New York Structural Biology Center Cauldwell Wingate, acted as the Construction Manager for a state-of-the-art research imaging facility located on the City College campus in Upper Manhattan. The facility was a collaborative project among nine prestigious biomedical research institutions. It houses a Cryogenic Electron Microscope suite, laboratories, administrative offices, and advanced NMR spectroscopy instruments. We successfully addressed the challenge of shielding sensitive instruments by strategically locating the center and creating vacuum-like spaces. Healthcare/Life Sciences New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell William Randolph Hearst Burn Center Project Info Project Info New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell William Randolph Hearst Burn Center Cauldwell Wingate Company was engaged by NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital to provide general contracting services for renovation of their ambulatory burn unit at the Weill Cornell Medical Center Campus. This multiple-phase project was designed to meet the programmatic needs of a highly regarded specialist group. The scope included new finishes and mechanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades, as well as an extension of the waiting area. The set-up for this project required an expedited submittal period in order to guarantee that all materials would be on site in the sequence in which they were required. The challenge to this project was coordinating work within an occupied hospital environment with limited access to the site and freight elevators. New York-Presby

Healthcare/Life Sciences Montefiore Medical Center Hofheimer Oncology Lab Project Info Project Info Montefiore Medical Center Hofheimer Oncology Lab Montefiore Medical Center engaged Cauldwell Wingate to construct a new Oncology Laboratory and testing facility at the 3rd floor Hofheimer Building. The work consisted of demolishing existing offices and associated equipment to make way for new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure required to support the new lab facility. The architectural fit-out of the space included all new laboratory casework with integral plumbing fixtures and a separate specially constructed room to house the expansive laboratory freezers. Healthcare/Life Sciences Wyckoff Heights Medical Center Pharmacy Renovations & Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms Project Info Project Info Wyckoff Heights Medical Center Pharmacy Renovations & Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms Cauldwell Wingate was awarded by the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center (WHMC), to serve as the General Contractor for the construction of six (6) new isolation rooms. These rooms will include new headwalls, bathrooms and isolated HVAC systems allowing WHMC to provide premium care for high risk patients. The work is taking place in highly sensitive areas such as the intensive care unit requiring a high level of Infectious Control Protection adding to an already difficult and complicated job. Cauldwell Wingate was also awarded a project at the same facility to install a new QleanAir containment unit for their Pharmacy, which will provide the hospital with a completely controlled cleanroom solution for their pharmaceutical needs. These projects are first steps WHMC is taking to make itself one of New York’s premier healthcare facilities. Wyckoff Heights

Healthcare/Life Sciences Montefiore Medical Center Center for Diagnostic Medicine Project Info Project Info Montefiore Medical Center Center for Diagnostic Medicine Montefiore Medical Center engaged Cauldwell Wingate to undertake Construction Management services for their planned Center for Diagnostic Medicine, an adaptive reuse project totaling 100,000sf. At present, preconstruction is completed. The Center for Diagnostic Medicine will include a sophisticated and highly advanced laboratory program with an Electron Microscope, a Microbiology Lab, a Surgical Pathology Lab and a Molecular Infectious Disease Lab. Substantial infrastructure upgrades, including HVAC with stainless steel ductwork for exhaust, increased electric capacity and specialized plumbing equipment are required to support the busy laboratory. Scope for this high-end medical facility in the landmarked Trinity Building included an electrical infrastructure upgrade and the build-out of office space, patient facilities, and consultation and exam rooms.
