PETER DEPALMA GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT With nearly 40 years of experience in major construction, Peter is currently the General Superintendent overseeing new buildings and major construction at Cauldwell Wingate. Peter has worked directly, in house, for owners and developers. Peter possesses the mentality to do things once and do them correctly, always bearing in mind up front cost and maintenance. Peter is very instrumental during the preconstruction phase of work by planning the logistics and approach to our major projects and respective scheduling as well. He participates in the design phase suggesting constructability and value engineering measures. Peter oversees the field staff of all of our new, out of the ground, major projects and enjoys mentoring and teaching new construction professionals. Peter has overseen over 13 buildings from planning to ground breaking to absolute completion, Certificate of Occupancy and tenant occupancy. GREG SZEKALSKI SENIOR PROJECT EXECUTIVE Greg Szekalski serves as a Senior Project Executive for multiple projects at Cauldwell Wingate, LLC. Mr. Szekalski is responsible for overseeing projects from preconstruction through completion including purchasing, scheduling, logistics, budgets and closeout. He strives to build and maintain exemplary client service while overseeing his projects in order to produce successful outcomes for all parties involved. Mr. Szekalski’s 21 year background includes a broad array of practical experience in all phases of development and construction management. He has managed renovation and new construction for a variety of project types, including education, corporate, storage and residential buildings. His notable project experience includes 1 Park Row, 155 W29th Street, 200 Montague Street, 40 Tenth Ave (Solar Carve), Far Rockaway Townhouses (Saltmeadow), 111 West 57th Street, 613 Baltic Street and the College of Staten Island. The work required careful planning, detailed site logistics, and a rigorous safety program to ensure that disruptions to the University’s ongoing operations were minimized.     Mount Sinai Health System – St. Lukes Al-sabah Arrhythmia Institute Healthcare/Life Sciences Mount Sinai Health System – St. Lukes Al-sabah Arrhythmia Institute Project Info Project Info Mount Sinai Health System – St. Lukes Al-sabah Arrhythmia Institute Mount Sinai Health System engaged Cauldwell Wingate for a multi-phase renovation of their Al-Sabah Arrhythmia Institute, which offers advanced patient care for heart rhythm disorder issues and conducts research in a state-of-the-art facility. The two-floor program included the renovation of patient preparation suites, electrophysiology laboratories for performing catheter-based procedures, device implantations, diagnostic studies with stereotaxic equipment and shielding requirements, research and virology labs, nurses offices, screening rooms, and reception area. The program also included extensive MEPS upgrades and infrastructure work, including the build-out of multiple MER closets, new chillers, air handlers, and exhaust. All work required extensive protection, negative air, and careful phasing to ensure uninterrupted services to adjacent departments and medical offices. Mount Sinai

The project included four individually phased pharmacies totaling approximately 4,000sf. Each pharmacy needed to be turned over in 2 months’ time or less. Work included pneumatic tube systems for transport of materials, clean room construction for drug compounding and pass-through windows for patient transactions. Due to design issues, Day 2 work associated with making the space 797 Code compliant, such as building anteroom spaces, is currently being scheduled. New York-Presby

    NYU Tandon School of Engineering Bern Dibner Library Healthcare/Life Sciences NYU Tandon School of Engineering Bern Dibner Library Project Info Project Info NYU Tandon School of Engineering Bern Dibner Library Cauldwell Wingate was retained as Construction Manager to complete the 3,000sf fit-out of the cutting-edge Center of Innovation for Technology and Entertainment (CITE) lab, an interdisciplinary graduate research lab designed to foster an environment of innovation, collaboration and learning to encourage the development of research projects involving games for learning and movement-based interfaces. The work included demolition and relocation of walls, cosmetic upgrades and associated mechanical and electrical upgrades. Cauldwell Wingate also completed an upgrade of existing smoke purge and fire alarm systems throughout the entire ~55,000sf building. The work involved replacing the original pneumatic actuators on the existing fire smoke dampers with electric actuators and included new wiring back to the associated panels, all work occurring on a third shift while the building remained occupied. The project involved a complex fit-out of a 13-story, 145,000 square foot space, including various cancer care units such as radiation therapy, exam rooms, infusion suites, and laboratories. Cauldwell Wingate oversaw the management of specialty trades, including radiation protection installation, pneumatic tube system implementation, and specialty flooring. We managed the entire tenant improvement process, from pre-construction to commissioning, while maintaining close collaboration with the developer, M.D. Carlisle, and the project team. NYU Langone

This multiple-phase project was designed to meet the programmatic needs of a highly regarded specialist group. The scope included new finishes and mechanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades, as well as an extension of the waiting area. The set-up for this project required an expedited submittal period in order to guarantee that all materials would be on site in the sequence in which they were required. The challenge to this project was coordinating work within an occupied hospital environment with limited access to the site and freight elevators. New York-Presby
