New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell William Randolph Hearst Burn Center

Cauldwell Wingate Company was engaged by NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital to provide general contracting services for renovation of their ambulatory burn unit at the Weill Cornell Medical Center Campus. This multiple-phase project was designed to meet the programmatic needs of a highly regarded specialist group. The scope included new finishes and mechanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades, as well as an extension of the waiting area. The set-up for this project required an expedited submittal period in order to guarantee that all materials would be on site in the sequence in which they were required. The challenge to this project was coordinating work within an occupied hospital environment with limited access to the site and freight elevators.
