Weill Cornell Medical College – Radiation Oncology Laboratory Healthcare/Life Sciences Weill Cornell Medical College – Radiation Oncology Laboratory Project Info Project Info Weill Cornell Medical College – Radiation Oncology Laboratory Cauldwell Wingate was retained as General Contractor for the full renovation of 4,600sf renovation of two laboratory spaces and several office spaces. The renovation was meant to provide modern labs for the new Department of Radiation Oncology with the latest in laboratory design. Project scope involved energy efficient lighting and HVAC including medical gas and vacuum. Also current safe laboratory standards were incorporated. The renovation involved the installation of new laboratory case work with med gas/vacuum capabilities, cold room, counters, partitions, millwork and associated finishes and associated research equipment. All work in this occupied facility was phased to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Weill Cornell

The project included a full fit-out of the twelfth floor facility, including UDS Suites, various procedure rooms, and waiting room. Scope for this high-end medical facility in the landmarked Trinity Building included an electrical infrastructure upgrade and the build-out of office space, patient facilities, and consultation and exam rooms. The project included extensive millwork, including metal and glass details. Construction of an ornate waiting area incorporated fine stone, metal and bamboo finishes. NYU Langone

Columbia University Medical Center – Hammer 9 & 15 Labs Healthcare/Life Sciences Columbia University Medical Center – Hammer 9 & 15 Labs Project Info Project Info Columbia University Medical Center – Hammer 9 & 15 Labs Cauldwell Wingate renovated Columbia University's Hammer Health Sciences Center, specifically the College of Physicians and Surgeons Department of Microbiology & Immunology. The 9th floor research facility, untouched for 30 years and damaged by floods, was overhauled. They also improved the 15th floor lobby and corridors, along with the mechanical infrastructure. The renovation aimed to enhance research capabilities in infectious diseases and immunology, with an open laboratory design promoting collaboration. The project included new laboratory facilities, updated finishes, and improved mechanical systems. Columbia University will benefit from the upgraded space as it focuses on immune system research for various diseases and experiences growth in cancer therapy and transplantation programs. Columbia

Mount Sinai Health System – St. Lukes Al-sabah Arrhythmia Institute Healthcare/Life Sciences Mount Sinai Health System – St. Lukes Al-sabah Arrhythmia Institute Project Info Project Info Mount Sinai Health System – St. Lukes Al-sabah Arrhythmia Institute Mount Sinai Health System engaged Cauldwell Wingate for a multi-phase renovation of their Al-Sabah Arrhythmia Institute, which offers advanced patient care for heart rhythm disorder issues and conducts research in a state-of-the-art facility. The two-floor program included the renovation of patient preparation suites, electrophysiology laboratories for performing catheter-based procedures, device implantations, diagnostic studies with stereotaxic equipment and shielding requirements, research and virology labs, nurses offices, screening rooms, and reception area. The program also included extensive MEPS upgrades and infrastructure work, including the build-out of multiple MER closets, new chillers, air handlers, and exhaust. All work required extensive protection, negative air, and careful phasing to ensure uninterrupted services to adjacent departments and medical offices. Mount Sinai
