Maimonides Cancer Center Healthcare/Life Sciences Maimonides Cancer Center Project Info Project Info Maimonides Cancer Center Cauldwell Wingate Company was hired as the Construction Manager for this state-of-the-art health care assignment. The project consisted of a seven phase, three-floor interior renovation in occupied conditions as well as an underground building extension for 4 vaults, including the installation of three new linear accelerators. The interior portion of the project included a PET/CT room installation, and suites for Medical and Surgical Oncology, Breast Center, and infusion and Pediatric Oncology. In addition, a new executive office center was created. A major lobby renovation was designed with a three-story glass clearstory feature wall. Cauldwell Wingate was responsible for preparing multiple budgets and schedules throughout the preconstruction process as well as oversight responsibility for the construction. New York Structural Biology Center Healthcare/Life Sciences New York Structural Biology Center Project Info Project Info New York Structural Biology Center Cauldwell Wingate, acted as the Construction Manager for a state-of-the-art research imaging facility located on the City College campus in Upper Manhattan. The facility was a collaborative project among nine prestigious biomedical research institutions. It houses a Cryogenic Electron Microscope suite, laboratories, administrative offices, and advanced NMR spectroscopy instruments. We successfully addressed the challenge of shielding sensitive instruments by strategically locating the center and creating vacuum-like spaces. NYU Tandon School of Engineering Bern Dibner Library Healthcare/Life Sciences NYU Tandon School of Engineering Bern Dibner Library Project Info Project Info NYU Tandon School of Engineering Bern Dibner Library Cauldwell Wingate was retained as Construction Manager to complete the 3,000sf fit-out of the cutting-edge Center of Innovation for Technology and Entertainment (CITE) lab, an interdisciplinary graduate research lab designed to foster an environment of innovation, collaboration and learning to encourage the development of research projects involving games for learning and movement-based interfaces. The work included demolition and relocation of walls, cosmetic upgrades and associated mechanical and electrical upgrades. Cauldwell Wingate also completed an upgrade of existing smoke purge and fire alarm systems throughout the entire ~55,000sf building. The work involved replacing the original pneumatic actuators on the existing fire smoke dampers with electric actuators and included new wiring back to the associated panels, all work occurring on a third shift while the building remained occupied. The renovation was meant to provide modern labs for the new Department of Radiation Oncology with the latest in laboratory design. Project scope involved energy efficient lighting and HVAC including medical gas and vacuum. Also current safe laboratory standards were incorporated. The renovation involved the installation of new laboratory case work with med gas/vacuum capabilities, cold room, counters, partitions, millwork and associated finishes and associated research equipment. All work in this occupied facility was phased to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Weill Cornell
