Our 50 Trinity Project topped out on Friday 5/7/2021.  A small, COVID safe, topping out party was held in celebration of this project milestone.  Thank you to our team Andrew Baranello, John Moore, Ventsi Kovachev, Dennis Stawkowski, Edward Lacayo, Alejandra Juarez & Omar Casiano!

Sometimes you need to break things up, so last week at CW we played a fun guessing game!  “How many Hershey Kisses are in this acrylic box?!”  The closest one was the winner!  Congratulations, Johnny Wong, for either incredible math skills or guessing skills.  Not only did he win a gift card but also 2035 Hershey Kisses!!

Cauldwell Wingate was incredibly excited to participate in our first God’s Love We Deliver Volunteer Event since COVID began.  GLWD is an amazing organization that cooks and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for people too sick to shop or cook for themselves.  Our team had the pleasure of helping to prepare some of these meals and we look forward to a continued partnership with this wonderful organization.

Cauldwell Wingate is proud to announce that we have received the 2021 SafeBuild Construction Safety Award in the Project Safety category (zero incidents) for our work on a Brooklyn Medical Facility.  We’d like to thank the Building Trades Employers Association (BTEA) and our talented Safety and Project teams.

Cauldwell Wingate’s Women Promoting Success Group had its first event since the onset of COVID.  While it still had to be virtual, we decided it made sense to do a “Self-Care Check-In”.  We did a short Sound Bowl Meditation Session by @crystalvida followed by some conversation about the challenges both personally and professionally that we have dealt with during the pandemic.  We offered a book on Practicing Mindfulness and a few items that aid in lowering stress and promoting calm.  Always remember to check-in with each other and with yourself.

Cauldwell Wingate is proud to announce our involvement in the renovation of an existing warehouse into new retail and commercial office space on West 21st Street, contracted by Higher Ground Ground Development. To transform this 8-story, approximate 60k SF development, the team will focus on structural enhancement, a new façade, entry storefront/canopy/lobby, elevators and egress stairs, and all new MEPS systems. Stay tuned for further updates!

50 Trinity Place is a 28-story hotel building located in NYC’s financial district. The hotel will include 180 Guest Rooms, restaurant with a commercial kitchen, meeting room, gym, and office space for hotel management. The building features a reinforced concrete structure, combination of window wall, insulated metal panels, and EIFS façade, a Building Maintenance Unit, an emergency power generator, and also houses dedicated MTA space with physical connection to a nearby subway station. The tight jobsite logistics pose challenges for material deliveries and also require the combined use of boom truck and a Spyder crane for superstructure rebar loading. Project is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2022.
