The renovation aimed to enhance research capabilities in infectious diseases and immunology, with an open laboratory design promoting collaboration. The project included new laboratory facilities, updated finishes, and improved mechanical systems. Columbia University will benefit from the upgraded space as it focuses on immune system research for various diseases and experiences growth in cancer therapy and transplantation programs. Columbia

Whitestone Ambulatory Care: Completed examination and consultation room fit-outs, and coordinated the installation of nuclear camera and x-ray machines. Urgent Care Center at Rego Park: Built an 18,000 sq ft space with x-ray equipment, nuclear camera, upgraded lobby, new office and reception areas, ultrasound rooms, and an andro lab. Infrastructure included HVAC units and A/C systems. Additional work was done at the Rego Park Urgent Care Center, renovating 30,000 sq ft for a multi-specialty program. Northwell Health

The work included demolition and relocation of walls, cosmetic upgrades and associated mechanical and electrical upgrades. Cauldwell Wingate also completed an upgrade of existing smoke purge and fire alarm systems throughout the entire ~55,000sf building. The work involved replacing the original pneumatic actuators on the existing fire smoke dampers with electric actuators and included new wiring back to the associated panels, all work occurring on a third shift while the building remained occupied. The architectural fit-out of the space included all new laboratory casework with integral plumbing fixtures and a separate specially constructed room to house the expansive laboratory freezers. Situated in the heart of Midtown, the project required extensive logistical planning and precise execution. The two-floor program included the renovation of patient preparation suites, electrophysiology laboratories for performing catheter-based procedures, device implantations, diagnostic studies with stereotaxic equipment and shielding requirements, research and virology labs, nurses offices, screening rooms, and reception area. The program also included extensive MEPS upgrades and infrastructure work, including the build-out of multiple MER closets, new chillers, air handlers, and exhaust.
