Columbia University Medical Center – Hammer 9 & 15 Labs

Cauldwell Wingate renovated Columbia University's Hammer Health Sciences Center, specifically the College of Physicians and Surgeons Department of Microbiology & Immunology. The 9th floor research facility, untouched for 30 years and damaged by floods, was overhauled. They also improved the 15th floor lobby and corridors, along with the mechanical infrastructure. The renovation aimed to enhance research capabilities in infectious diseases and immunology, with an open laboratory design promoting collaboration. The project included new laboratory facilities, updated finishes, and improved mechanical systems. Columbia University will benefit from the upgraded space as it focuses on immune system research for various diseases and experiences growth in cancer therapy and transplantation programs.
