Quality control and leakage testing being perform by the Stony Brook Medical Physicist team at the hospital’s new CAT scan room. The lead shielding is in place to protect everyone outside of the room from the radiation generated by the CAT scan’s Xray equipment. The installation was found to be completed successfully with no exception based on the physicist report allowing Cauldwell to continue with the fit out of this room and the accompanying space as part of the renovation project for Stony Brook’s imagining department which includes this CT room, two radiation and fluoroscopy Rooms, ultrasound and sonogram rooms, administrative space, waiting area and reception desk.
