Did you know that for 25 years, less than 1% of construction workers were women?
Cauldwell Wingate is working to change this statistic and is well known for its advocacy for the recruitment and advancement of women in the construction industry. The Cauldwell Wingate team has taken steps to improve working conditions for women on the jobsite and has been a strong supporter of Non-Traditional Employment for Women (NEW), an organization that trains women for jobs in the building trades, the utilities and transportation industries, and facilities repair and maintenance.
Cauldwell Wingate’s President & CEO, Susan L. Hayes, serves as Board Chair for NEW and is deeply
committed to the organization’s mission to help qualified women access high-wage careers that provide
economic independence and serves employers by providing them with trained, job-ready workers.
