Clifford Aikens, formerly in charge of Purchasing and Estimating at Cauldwell Wingate Company, LLC, is now president of 5 Elements West, a new international venture.
Mr. Aikens will continue to provide leadership for Cauldwell Wingate as part of its Executive Committee. Mr. Aikens has over 21 years of experience in the construction industry, with special expertise in project costing and budgeting. Prior to Mr. Aiken’s recent venture, he has had a critical role in Cauldwell’s purchasing and estimating operations, including managing the estimating staff personnel, serving as a liaison for Cauldwell Wingate’s field operations, and account executive responsibilities with some clients.
Before joining Cauldwell Wingate, Mr. Aikens has worked in Boston, New York, Washington DC and Florida during a 10-year program at a large construction management firm. His experience includes working in estimating, purchasing and as a field superintendent.
Mr. Aikens joined Cauldwell Wingate in 1996 and has worked on many projects including commercial office buildings, medical and research facilities, historical preservations and educational institutions.
Mr. Aikens graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and an A.A.S. in Construction Management. He is a member of the Contractors’ Association of Greater New York (CAGNY) and Non-Traditional Employment for Women (NEW) for which he serves on the Fundraising Committee and video presentations.
